Row 1: Ch 3. Into the first chain: work (dc, ch, 2 dc) (edge made).
Row 2: Ch 3, dc into the 2nd dc of the previous row, ch 1, work edge. Turn. (2 stitches in body)
Row 3: Ch 3, work edge. Ch 1, dc in each dc across to the last stitch. Into the top of the turning chain: 2 dc. Turn. (3 stitches in body – increased by 1)
Row 4: At the first dc: (ch 3 + 2 dc), dc in each dc to end of body, ch 1, work edge. Turn. (5 stitches – increased by 2)
Row 5: Ch 3, work edge. Ch 1, dc across to last st, 2 dc into the top of turning chain. Turn. (6 stitches – increased by 1)
Rows 6–14: Repeat Rows 4 and 5 alternately continuing increasing as established.
Section II – Alternating solid and airy rows
You’ll now alternate between solid and airy rows, continuing increases and working the edge.
Row 15: Ch 3, work edge. Ch 1, dc across. End with 2 dc into the top of turning chain. Turn.
Row 16: At first dc: (ch 3 + 2 dc), dc across body. Ch 1, work edge. Turn
Row 17: Repeat Row 5.
Row 18: Repeat Row 4.
Repeat Rows 15–18 until you’re nearly out of yarn, leaving enough for the final decorative row.
Final Decorative Row:
Ch 3, work V3 into the ch space of the edge, sc in the first dc of the body.
Then repeat the following across the row:
(skip 2 stitches, V3, skip 2 stitches, sc)
Continue this pattern until the end of the row.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Finishing:
Using leftovers or matching yarn, create a tassel and attach it to the narrower point of the wrap.
