The blanket reminds me of Spring, painted Easter eggs and the first spring flowers. Cheerful colors and a light background will bright up the children’s room and set good mood. .

Calculation: there are 56 stitches : 4 = 14 stitches. There will be 13 stitches on side + 1 stitch for a corner. Attach white yarn. Crochet into BL:
Initial corner (4ch,tr, 3ch, 2tr), /in the next stitch (tr, edc), 2dc, hdc, 5sc, hdc, 2dc, in the next stitch (edc, tr), corner (2tr, ch3, 2tr)/ x 3, in the next stitch (tr, edc), 2dc, hdc, 5sc, hdc, 2dc, in the next stitch (edc, tr) join with a ss to first tr. Ss to the corner space

Initial corner (3ch, sc), /(sc, dc from RS to free sc of row 7 – the dc will lay on RS) x 13, sc, corner (sc, 2ch, sc)/ x 3, /(sc, dc from RS to free sc of row 7 – the dc will lay on RS) x 13, sc, connect the row with a ss to 1st corner space. (29 stitches on side)
10.r. (white) ): initial corner (2ch, dc, 2ch, 2 dc), /29dc, corner (2dc, 2ch, 2 dc)/ x 3, 19 dc, join with a ss to first dc. Ss to the corner space (33 dc on side)
Cut the yarn, finish with invisible join to the first dc. Sew in the threads. You may block the squares to have them flat and equal. Read more on web or check my post on blocking here.
Finishing
Place the squares flatly as you wish to have them in the blanket.
Sew or crochet them together in one direction and then in other direction.
I crocheted them together with ss to the BL. When I held 2 squares back-to back BLs are: 2nd loop on the square near to you, 1st loop of the farer square.
Ss to corner ch, (33 ss to sc, ss to corner ch, ch2, ss to corner ch) repeat to join all squares in row. Do not twist the squares.
Edge
1.r.(white): Attach the yarn to the corner space. Initial corner (3ch, sc), crochet sc to BL, corners in ch spaces: (sc, 2ch, sc), between the squares: hdc to the corner space, hdc to the join, hdc to next corner space, finish the row with a ss to first corner space.
2.r. (white) Initial corner (2ch, dc, 2ch, 2 dc), corners (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) all other stitched: dc. Finish the row with a ss to the first dc, ss to the corner space.
3.r. (white) – as row 7 of the square
4.r. (furry) – as row 8 of the square
5.r. (white) – as row 9 of the square
6.r. (white) – as row 10 of the square
7.r. (white) – as row 7 of the square
Finish the edge with invisible stitch, sew in the threads.
